Building pre-launch demand for
an AI scouting platform before
product launch.
The brand challenge was not just to make Anova look credible. It was to help the company enter the market with authority before the product had broad adoption, inventory, or a proven audience.
We built the foundation for a launch system: brand identity, positioning, website presence, outreach campaigns, social content, pitch materials, and demand-generation tools designed to validate interest with coaches before scale.
The Challenge
Anova entered pre-launch with a strong product vision but no established audience, community, or validated demand. The product was aimed at a market with a clear need: high school and college programs that lacked access to the analytics infrastructure available to elite teams.
The investor deck framed the problem clearly: scouting is time-intensive, incomplete, and unequal. Coaches often rely on limited staff, manual film review, and box-score interpretation, while more sophisticated tools tend to be expensive or built for programs with larger budgets. Anova’s opportunity was to close that gap with an affordable, simulation-first platform.
The core challenge was reducing launch risk. Before investing in production, distribution, and wider rollout, Anova needed proof that coaches understood the value, trusted the product, and were willing to engage.
Strategic Opportunity
Anova’s clearest advantage was its ability to turn limited, universally available data into
practical coaching intelligence. Instead of positioning the product as another analytics dashboard, we framed Anova around a more direct promise:
Run the matchup. See the edge. Coach with clarity.
The strategy centered on three ideas:
Make advanced analytics feel usable,
not intimidating. Coaches did not need
more complexity. They needed fast,
organized insights they could act on.

Position AI as a coaching aid, not a replacement
for coaching judgment. The messaging emphasized clarity, preparation, and decision support rather
than automation for automation’s sake.

Build credibility inside the coaching community before launch. Rather than speaking broadly to “sports tech,” the pre-launch system focused on coaches, athletic directors, and performance leaders who could validate need and create early traction.
Brand & Visual Direction
The identity system was built to balance sports culture with AI-driven precision.
A bold wordmark and simplified symbol created a flexible system that could move across product UI, pitch decks, social content, merchandise, environmental graphics, and out-of-home-style campaign applications. The palette leaned into dark charcoal, off-white, muted green,
and warm orange, creating a visual language that felt both performance-driven and ownable.
The system intentionally avoided the look of traditional youth sports branding. Instead, it positioned Anova as a serious performance platform with the confidence of a tech
company and the immediacy of a courtside coaching tool.
Results
The pre-launch system helped Anova generate measurable demand, authority, and coach engagement before product launch.

Outcome
The work gave Anova a credible foundation before launch: a clear brand, a focused audience,
a defined product narrative, and early demand signals from the exact people the platform needed to reach.
Rather than launching into the market cold, Anova entered with a sharper story,
stronger visual presence, and measurable validation from coaches.
We helped turn a pre-launch AI sports product into a brand with traction,
credibility, and a clear path to market.
