In 2021 Real Estate Agent David Turner requested a custom piece to show past and prospective clients the range and history of his career in Real Estate. Originally envisioned as a booklet of listings I challenged David to write up the stories behind the transactions and anecdotes related to the process. Along with more naturally written details of the homes this created a more engaging piece beyond a picture book of listings.
The book was developed to be an evolving piece— with a grid structure and consistent page furniture to allow for more listings as his business progressed.
The gerstner grid allowed for dynamic spreads for each listing, able to accommodate the range of image sizes provided for each listing. This helped prevent the book from feeling repetitive, with full-bleed spread movements for additional layout variety
Departures from white to black, serif to sans are used for moments of surprise and to pair better with interesting architecture from well known architects.
